It's been a while...
Dec. 18th, 2024 04:09 pmYeah, long time, no post, I guess... lol
It's been a while since I wrote a post here. Aside from being busy during these past few months (as usual), I actually didn't have an energy to think about what to post here. Just for an update, I just resigned from my previous job last October and currently I'm in a middle of looking for a new job, preferably a permanent work from home or somewhere nearer in my place. Because of the desire to have WFH job, I just recently bought a new laptop using my last pay from my previous company. Now, I can easily post entries here, as
compared to using my phone. I also started doing diamond paintings to lessen my screen time.
Anyway, maybe I can recap some fangirling highlights this year, since it is only a few weeks to go before another year changes. Since the last time I posted an entry here was last March
2024, I'll be mentioning random highlights happened from April 2024 until present.
Attended SB19's PAGTATAG! FINALE Day 1 and Day 2 concerts (May 18 and May 19)
After hours of refreshing the ticket selling website a month before the actual concert, I was able to secure day 1 tickets for me and for my office colleagues. I wasn't able to get the desired seats though, and our seats were far from each other, but I also got a day 2 ticket for myself as a birthday gift. Hopefully next time, on SB19's Simula at Wakas concert, securing tickets will not be this hard already lol.
Here is the highlight for this two-day concert:
And here are the playlists of some fancams that I had recorded from the two-day concerts.
Day 1:
Day 2:
Joined Travis Japan FC membership (April 18)
I will be going to post a separate entry regarding me being a fan of Travis Japan, but just to give an idea, after few months of watching several videos from their YouTube channel, I decided to join their FC on a night before Genta's birthday. From just casually appreciating their talents through America's Got Talent and YouTube Fanfest 2022, I totally fell in love with their humor by watching their videos on YouTube, especially Genta's, hence he became my favorite member. And I got my FC card on my birthday! Earlier this year, it was mentioned in a Hong Kong radio show that Philippines would be included in the countries that they would be visiting for Road to A World Tour but ended up not including it. Sad... Hopefully they'll include my country next time lol.

SB19 being popular in Japan
Just like any other A'TIN, I also manifested for them to perform in Japan, since they were also very vocal of wanting to perform there. So I was thrilled when Japan leg of their PAGTATAG! World Tour was finally pushed through after being postponed during the time the group had experienced trademark issue. Not only that, FELIP also had his solo album (7Sins) launch and concert in Tokyo. Another memorable moment of them in Japan is their appearance in THE FIRST TAKE, performing GENTO and MAPA. Being the first Filipino artists featured in the channel, I can't help but being so proud of them!

MAPA:
My oshis got married!
I was really surprised but happy that my ultimate oshi Shige got married to a non-showbiz partner, and Kei-chan got married to AAA's Uno Misako just few days after Shige's marriage. Also, my Hey! Say! JUMP oshi Daiki, who was rumored to be dating actress Matsuoka Mayu, had finally tied a knot with her. I remembered the time when I still had that "parasocial relationship" tendencies, I felt melancholic after reading that dating rumor, but since I became a matured fangirl, I just laughed at that moment and now felt nothing but happiness for both of them.

I got more merch!
I received Torasha photobook, FC birthday cards, Travis Japan 2023-2024 calendar, Road to Authenticity pamphlet, photocards, sticker set, Gates+ pamphlet

What I've watched this year
When 2024 just started, I had this goal of ticking off some Jdramas and Jmovies on my to-watch list, good thing there's JFF online where I watched some Japanese movies listed in their lineup. Unfortunately, these are the only ones I was able to watch this year. I'll try my best to watch more in 2025 lol
My Broken Mariko

We Made a Beautiful Bouquet

Also, to celebrate the start of operation of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT (Johnny and Associates' successor company), MatsuJun and Tacchon had produced We Are! Let's Get the Party STARTO!! concert featuring the debuted groups under the company. I was able to watch it via FAMILY CLUB online, and the concert was later launched in Netflix for streaming (and there's also the behind the scenes)!
Concert Footage
Behind the Scenes
NEWS EXPO watch party (July 6)
I was able to watch NEWS EXPO concert footage with few NEWS fans at The Director's Cafe in Malate and was just thrilled with lots of freebies!

Julie x Stell's concert (July 27)
I was able to attend the first day of the concert, and I truly appreciate the show! It was my first time to watch in a theater (New Frontier Theater), so the ambiance reminded me of the one in NEWS' Premium Live, with live band and live backup vocals. The songs included in the setlist were so nostalgic, since these were usually played during my school days. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture performances since they told that fancams are not allowed since the show would be televised on a later date, and also, I thought that it would be a musical-like kind of stage show, however, I still saw some who took footages lol. I only recorded the moment when Pablo appeared on stage as guest, announcing him as the new coach for The Voice Kids.

PAGTATAG! Documentary (September 1)
Watched it with fellow A'TIN from Batangas at Robinsons Lipa!
Though I felt that the movie is lacking some details (esp. about the trademark issue and how they solve it), but through that movie, I didn't regret that I discovered SB19 and became a fan.

LOST and FOUND album concert (September 28)
My SB19 bias' solo concert! This was a bit emotional since I could feel Josh's story through his songs. T^T

NEWS' YouTube channel, NEWS' discography on streaming platforms (like Spotify)
After years of wishing for their songs and MVs be available for streaming, finally that wish came true! The world deserves to hear their music.
NEWS on YouTube and Spotify:
Issei's departure from STARTO/Bi Shounen going to TOBE, Noel's hiatus
Last quarter of this year is somewhat a sad moment for me as a fan, as it was announced that Issei would be leaving Bi Shounen and STARTO. However, later, it was announced that Issei has transferred to TOBE as a solo artist under the name ISSEI. Ganbare on your new journey, ISSEI!
On the other hand, Noel decided to take a break from his activities to focus on his health. Yeah, it was noticeable that he doesn't feel well lately since their Road to A World Tour, he was even absent during their 2nd debut anniversary YouTube live. Rest well Noel, please come back stronger!
I'm looking forward to a better year on 2025 (hopefully I can get a new job soon)!
