⚠️Long post ahead⚠️

This is actually an unusual entry that I am posting in my fangirling blog. I actually started having a blog to express my thoughts as a fangirl focusing on Japanese pop culture, but this time, I am going to dedicate this entry solely for a certain boy group based in our country that is currently raising our flag and aiming to reach worldwide recognition through their music.

I never thought at first that I would be stanning OPM artists (a Ppop group, to be specific) as much as I am stanning Jpop artists, but these fellow Filipinos proved that they are also worthy to be stanned, as they truly have world-class talents that we can be proud of. I actually had some phases in the past when I casually admire some of our local actors/actresses, but I was not really into local singers/performers.

Until I got to know SB19. 🤭💙

(from Rappler)

What is amusing about me being an idol fan is that, I actually start to stan the idols once I got to know their personalities more, rather than their visuals, talents or discography. Grew up in Johnny's (Johnny and Associates, one of Japan's largest entertainment agency) fandom, I truly appreciate the human sides of the idols while watching them grow and improve throughout their idol journey.

I'm not the bandwagon type of fan, to be honest.
I believe that when we unexpectedly meet someone, the feeling of affection towards this someone will last long. In fact, I mainly stan Jpop idol groups NEWS and Bi Shounen for almost 11 years and 4 years as of this writing, respectively.

I hope this feeling of affection will also be applicable for me to SB19 as well...

And I'm now going to start the narrative.

💙 HOW I GOT INTO SB19 💙

I've been hearing about them already during the time when their dance practice video went viral back in 2019, and being a Jpop stan, their leader Pablo, Sejun during that time, had caught my eyes, thinking, "Oh he somewhat looks like Sexy Zone's Nakajima Kento!" sporting his short black hair.

This is not the exact picture I saw during that time. But anyway, Sejun with this hair hits different 😌💕

That was the time when I knew SB19's existence, but not expecting myself to go deeper and eventually fall into the rabbit hole few years after.

During the pandemic, I got hooked into watching collection room tour and unboxing videos on Tiktok and YouTube, and came across a video of an A'TIN, particularly a Pablo stan, sharing their SB19 merch collection. I just couldn't remember the name of this A'TIN, my bad😅. That was the time when I realized, "Ah, Pablo na pala si Sejun". Yeah, among SB19 members, I only knew Pablo.

Also, if I remember correctly, below is the unboxing video that I can consider as the first full video I watched featuring them. I found them funny here!

Then I also came across a music video of them rendering their own version of Dunkin' Donuts Christmas jingle, Merry Munchkins, and I was like, "Ang ganda ng pagkakanta nila rito, parang kanta ng Johnny's idols!"

I weren't still able to recognize other members through those videos yet, though. 😅

Until last quarter of 2022 came - just an unexpected plot twist of my life. That year, especially during its first quarter, was really a stressful year for me (I choose not to elaborate this since it's too personal), but starting to watch them had somehow eased that lingering feeling back then. I guess that's the reason for me to get to know more about them this late. It's fate, after all.

While scrolling through my Tiktok account's FYP, I again encountered these guys mostly showing their funny, chaotic sides through some random clips excerpted from the videos on their official YouTube channel, which I subscribed eventually. I also binge-watched their past interviews, wherein I got to know more about the members' personalities. I even transform my personal Twitter account into SB19 stan account, just to be updated with them! 😆

At first, I got mesmerized by Justin's boy next door visuals (or maybe I also fell for his corny jokes lol) and entertained by Stell's hilarious punchlines, but after late nights of watching several videos featuring them, I completely admire Josh for his mature outlook towards life. Josh's overall personality resonated in me, hence, he became my bias.

I love his visuals here! 😍

Actually, my first impression with Josh was that, he has the "sparkly cute idol aura" that somewhat reminds me of Hey! Say! JUMP's Yamada Ryosuke. He is, indeed, the "charismatic member of SB19"

I can declare that after about two months of observation, I consider November 5 as my anniversary as A'TIN. 😊

I also got the chance to watch WYAT Homecoming concert on December 18 last year via livestream.

I was also able to visit WYAT mural painting dedicated to them, created by a group of artistic A'TIN (ARTSB19).

And just last June 24 this year, I finally got to watch them live! As it is the first concert that I've attended, that moment will forever be engraved in my memory.

At first, I was contemplating whether I would be attending or not, since I didn't know someone who can accompany me during the concert and I was worried about traveling back home after, but my guts had told me to push so I wouldn't regret. Hence, I bought a ticket a little late already. I was aiming for a lower box seat, but seats under that tier were already sold out, so I got the available seat from upper box tier instead.

To more concerts and budols to come. Hello wallet, magpakatatag ka pa lalo! 😆

Here are the reasons why SB19 had captured my heart, knowing myself that I have high standards of stanning idols.

💙 WHY I GOT HOOKED INTO SB19 💙

⚠️Humor/Personality

When it comes to stanning idols, it is always the personality that comes first in my standards. I prefer those who are not afraid to show their true selves as human beings rather than to show a perfect image of what a typical idol should be. Watching their vlogs being funny and chaotic had got me hooked. Their Filipino humor is also relatable since I'm also a Filipino, and aside from that, I don't need any subtitles anymore just to understand their jokes 😁

⚠️Stage presence

They have certain charismatic vibes that exude every time they are performing on stage. I'm actually more into how idols project themselves on stage rather than how synchronized they are while dancing. Of course, there is the synchronization in their performances that is satisfying in my eyes, however, there is uniqueness with how they execute the steps, hence, I can somehow sense the differences in their personalities through their movements.

⚠️Vocals

I admit, I am particular with vocals, even though I am not a singer. Maybe my ears are somewhat sensitive lol just kidding.

Just to share, since I am an idol (Jpop) fan for more than a decade already, I have witnessed several groups who are great at dancing, however, only few of them really have great vocals. So those who have great vocals really stand out to me among those idols.

Hearing SB19 sing their ballad songs, I can easily recognize that there are differences in their vocal ranges, hence, it sounds so harmonious when they sing altogether. Although all members have great vocals, Stell's vocals impressed me the most. His voice is so heavenly and magical, that I keep on hearing it in my mind even after few days (But I'm still sane, don't worry 😆).

Aside from that, each member knows different vocal techniques. As an example, Ken/Felip has a natural deep voice yet he can be flexible with his vocals.

Here's his CRIMINAL live performance to see what I'm talking about:

Also, there is an assurance that we always get live singing from them (I don't like lipsync 🤐). I appreciate live singing from artists even if their voices cracked or they forgot the lyrics in the middle of the performance. SB19's live singing is exceptional.👌

⚠️Discography

Although they are considered as Ppop idols, their diverse discography has proven that they don't only have pop, EDM, or anything danceable as their genre of music. They can also do ballad and R&B as well. Aside from different genres, they also have various themes in their songs as well. Song about honoring our parents? There's MAPA. Song about unrequited love? There's Tilaluha. Song about questioning our self-worth? There's ILAW.

Anyway, just to share, even though my bias has vocally admitted that he doesn't like it, Wag Mong Ikunot Ang Iyong Noo is one of my favorites.
Maybe I got used to Johnny's tonchiki songs (catchy, silly novelty-like songs) 😆

Even though they don't release songs as often as other artists, every song that they release is either catchy or soulful, that it always resonates to someone hearing it. We can always expect quality music from them. Every song is a masterpiece.

As I'm always saying in my tweets, QUALITY BEATS QUANTITY.

⚠️Visuals

Each member has their own charm. Having diverse Filipino features, they are physically attractive in different ways. We can easily distinguish one from another with their visuals, and recently, even by just looking at their hairstyles/colors or their outfits. Following a certain beauty standard is boring, for me.

⚠️Creativity

Typical idols may have their own team who is in charge of composing songs or producing MVs for them, but SB19 is self-produced. The members themselves are in charge of producing most of their own songs, MVs, even the choreography! I really admire Pablo's lyricism, as it is something out of the ordinary. Since I'm also into wordplays and riddles, I enjoy digesting the lyrics while listening to their songs. The MVs, even the album trailers, are also eye-catching! The quality is on par with or even much better than MVs produced from other countries - truly world class!

What is good about SB19 is that, they let fans participate, think deeper and interpret things that they have created. I thought at first that I would only be overthinking about NEWS' creations, until I realized that SB19 also has creative ways of expressing their art where fans would then always come up with their own theories from it. I guess I really have my type - I love those who are true artists rather than just idols, or those I can consider as "storytellers". It's really fun learning something from the idols. 😁

⚠️Fan interaction

Even though we can consider them as popular artists, their humble presence is much like they are our friends. Although I can only observe via fancams, I can feel that they are really accommodating. They can also interact with fans online, randomly replying to fans' tweets. I lowkey wish that I can also experience that kind of  fanservice someday, especially from my bias Josh 🤭. I can observe that Josh is often doing the cutest fan service the most, embodying the charismatic idol image.

⚠️Advocacy

Ever since they debuted, they have been very vocal about aiming to bring Filipino music into the global scene, incorporating Filipino language and culture in every song that they have. Who would have thought of referencing Filipino mythological creature manananggal in a song, other than them?

With that goal, no doubt they deserve to be chosen as NCCA (National Commission for Culture and the Arts) Youth Ambassadors.

⚠️Idol Journey

I am mostly invested in idols' success stories with a plot twist. I am not romanticizing adversities though, but rather, getting inspiration from them.

Knowing how they were mocked for being Kpop copycats at first but later gained respect from the public for building their own identity as Ppop representatives, we can learn that instead of being easily swayed by criticisms, try taking risks while considering these criticisms as motivation to reach for greater heights.

As the saying by Zig Ziglar goes, "Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations".

⚠️Member Love

I can feel the strong bond among SB19 members, and as what I can observe, they truly care for each other much like friends, or much deeper, like family. Skinship may be an uncommon culture here (although I get used to it since I'm a Jpop fan), but they prove that there is nothing wrong about male idols showing how close they are with one another by being touchy, holding hands, hugging.

By the way, I find JoshTin and PabStell pairings cute, though any pairing is fine with me. 🤭🚢

With all those reasons that I have mentioned, there is no doubt that they truly deserve what they are achieving nowadays. More opportunities, more recognitions, and having large and continuously growing fanbase are just products of their unwavering passion towards their craft and determination to pursue their goals not just for themselves but for the local industry as well. Truly Pinoy Pride. 🇵🇭

I'm glad I finally got into this zone, and hopefully, will stay here for more years to come. I wish the same for SB19: longevity. 💙

--- Akari, from Idol, Burning

I'm going to post another review, this time, it's about the novella that I had just recently finished reading. Since the theme of this novella is related to the reason why I started a blog, I would like to share my random thoughts about it. 😁

Basically, the reason why I started having my blogging account is, of course, for fangirling purposes. I actually initially created a blogging account in Livejournal so I can grab some online contents related to my idols, which, unfortunately, were only available within the corners of the "dark web"  back then. Since Japanese entertainment in general is restricting their contents only within their country, and they are also really strict with copyright, some kind souls within the fandom had shared these contents for the fellow fans. Thinking about the consequences related to copyright infringement, these contents would be shared under locked posts, which will only be accessed by the "genuine" fans that can prove that they are such by writing blog entries, in addition to statements promising the sharer that they'll only take these contents for personal use only, since some would really take advantage and sell these contents. So, from that, I had learned to convey my fangirl-related thoughts through writing in a blog. Coincidentally, the main character in the novella is a fangirl running her own blog dedicated to her oshi (bias, a favorite member in an idol group).

Idol, Burning (Japanese title is Oshi, Moyu) was written by Usami Rin, and this has won the Akutagawa Prize, a prestigious literary award, in 2020. The novella revolves around Akari, a high school student who considers Masaki, her oshi,  as her "life support". She tried her best to understand and trust Masaki even when a rumor that he allegedly assaulted a fan had brought him under fire. Being a dedicated fan she is, she frequently updates her blog related to anything about her oshi, wherein she gained likes from her followers, her fellow fans. Despite having a cool personality online, in real life, she is a teenager who struggles at school and has relationship problem with her family. Her social awkwardness has resulted into thinking that no one but her oshi understands her, hence, her devotion towards her oshi became her way of coping up with the harsh reality of her life.

Upon knowing that this novella would have an English translation, I had looked forward to that time until this would be released in bookstores, so I immediately picked this up when I had an opportunity to passed by a bookstore before the start of my shift during our "return-to-office" day. Its relatable theme about idol fan culture is the main reason why I considered it as one of the books that I wanted to read, and I can say that Usami-san really conveyed the truth about what a fan culture is and how it can affect an individual, both in good and in bad ways. Most of the details about the fan habits are too relatable, that I actually giggled while reading it! But the last part of the novella somewhat stabbed me, as it is a hurtful reality.

"I stan by my oshi in sickness and in health"

This is an unforgettable statement that Akari had mentioned in the novella. As a fan, I also tend to be very loyal to my idols, in spite of the rumors, criticisms, scandals that they had, but with the fact that we really don't know about their true selves, I wonder how long we can trust them. Is the one that we can see onscreen their true personality offscreen? Being part of the fandom for a long time already since my teenage years, one of the things I noticed is that, many fans consider their idols as perfect beings, so they tend to hate or cancel them once their idols commit mistakes. This mentality, however, had taught me that idols are human beings too - they get tired, they make mistakes, they fall in love... They indeed have feelings just like us, the ordinary people. Idols, or any other celebrities, are considered public figures, so there may be the thought that watching every little action that they are doing is normal, but being human beings, they also deserve a private time for them to get enough rest from the work they had, much like how we, the ordinary people, get rest after those tiring days we had.

Another thing mentioned in the novella that I can relate to, is the moment when Akari considers her oshi as her backbone. Being active most especially on Twitter, I had witnessed several co-fans expressing themselves how they were "saved" by their idols from the hopelessness they felt in their real life. I, myself, has also consider being in the fandom as my only escape to the stress and sadness brought by the real world. This can be a positive thing of being a fan, but of course, too much of anything is harmful. When admiration turned into obsession, we tend to spend most of our lives chasing after the idols who they don't even know that we exist, hence, parasocial relationship may develop, though there is a certain extent applicable to every fan - the feelings toward the idol can be platonic or just merely a simple admiration. We are also thinking more about them rather than our own selves, so we also tend to do something to satisfy these desires - best example would be spending our hard-earned money on merch and concerts to support them. In the novella, Akari had sacrificed her health just to work hard to earn money for the concert ticket - something that many of us, the fans, can relate.

Some other minor details such as Akari's friend that had changed fandoms from mainstream idols to indie (or underground) idols, Akari who is bulk buying CDs just to get more voting tickets in order to support her idol achieve the higher ranking, as well as having her "shrine" filled with merch, are actually part of the idol fan culture.
Janiwota culture rarely have that "voting" or "ranking" thing though (more common thing is acquiring multiple versions of a single/album being released to get access on special contents lol), but I am pretty sure that voting is part any other idol fan cultures. I'm also sure that most of us have "fandom switching" and "shrine building" phases in our lives as fans, as well.

Overall, I love how this novella ended, that left me thinking, "How far would I go in terms of being in a fandom?" I also realized for a long while that fandom should only be a hobby or a pastime, rather than a job, so we should not be pressured to always be updated with our idols, most especially when we have our own lives outside the fandom.

I truly recommend this novella, not just for fellow idol fans, but also for the people outside the fandom, in order for them to understand more about idol fan culture and to also lessen their negative stereotype about fans having this hobby being considered as weird.

Since it's my ultimate oshi's birthday today, I'm going to repost here what I've tweeted for his birthday last year!

When and how did you get to like your bias?

Back in 2012, I have this habit of browsing look alike celebrities online, and I came across a photo of him comparing to a famous PH actress. From then, I decided to get to know him and realized that he is a smart Law graduate who just debuted as an author. Major turn on.💚

What do you call your bias?

During first year of stanning him, I call him as my "Bebe", then I later realized that it is cringey (lol), so I just stick to Shige or Sensei. 💚

What physical features do you like about them?

Eyes. They're really attractive. I also like his long eyelashes and on fleek eyebrows. 💚

What do you like most about them?

His versatility. He knows almost all things! He's smart, can cook, can write literary pieces, can sing, can dance, can act, can create music, can write songs...

He is just weak at ball games lol
😆💚

Which hairstyle do you like the most?

Hmmm, maybe his hairstyle when he did Zero drama, the time when NEWS had their 15th Anniversary "Strawberry" Concert. He looks younger with that haircut.

I am not particular with hairstyles though. 💚

Which costume (from MV or perfs) do you like the most for them?

I really find their "TEAM WHITE" costumes so cool, so I can say that this is my favorite 🤩💚

If you could give them a new member color, what would you choose and why?

Blue? I think blue suits him as well. But I prefer him to still have green as his menkara lol 😆💚

What animal reminds you of them?

A fluffy dog? 🤔💚

Which MV do you like them in and why?

KAGUYA.  He's very aesthetically appealing while wearing a 和 style costume. 😍💚

Your favorite solo performance of them?

Ayame.

The song. The dance. How it is interpreted. I love everything in this perf. ~虹を歩いてく~ 🌈

💚

Your favorite drama/movie/butai of them?

Zero: Ikkaku Senkin Game.
I love everything in this drama.
😌💚

Your favorite OTP/BROTP with them and why?

KoyaShige and ShigeMassu.

KoyaShige: Friendship goals! They've been together as shinme for 20 years already. 💜💚

ShigeMassu: Seems like childhood friends/old classmates. 💚💛

Favorite line/quote they said

This is something that he wrote on his photo essay way back 💚:

"Some pain is just good...

Yes, to make us know the essence of living." - Kato Shigeaki, Shigerigoto

Favorite magazine/photoshoot of them

This photoshoot from TVnavi SMILE Vol. 038 💚

Something they have done that you're proud of?

Everything! I am always proud of this guy. Especially that he got lots of achievements last year as an idol, actor and writer. 😌💚

Any jobs (TV shows, drama, movie, etc) you want them to try in the future?

As a bearded villain/criminal in a drama! (Yaaaaas to Higeaki!!!)

I would like to see more challenging roles for him (and would like to see Higeaki again lol) 🤩💚

I would also like him to have his own cooking show/segment! 💚

A picture of them that you really like

Maybe this one from Biteki?
He looks younger than his age here.
Youthful. 😌💚

A message to them in one sentence!

One sentence is not enough for me to tell him how much I admire him. I really, really love you Kato Shigeaki 😌💚

Another year (and that was a real stressful year!) has gone by, and now, new year is here. I just wish that we can still overcome the struggles that may happen within this year and at the same time, I hope that there will be better days waiting.

I would just like to recap those good things that happened to me last 2020.

January and February were still "normal" months, so I was able to go to cinemas, cupsleeve events and even travel once outside Metro Manila.

Also, those months marked a step up for me as a fangirl, since I was able to buy items directly from online shops (CD Japan, Mandarake, Johnny's Shop) without the help of the local proxy. Aside from that, I was able to apply for fanclub membership to NEWS, as well as subscription to Jweb!

I was able to travel to Baguio City with my colleagues last February.

Then starting March, I was able to watch several Japanese dramas and movies, and live streamings, aside from the fact that I started watching YouTube contents from Snow Man, SixTONES and Johnny's Jr, so I ended up knowing more Johnny's idols (I even got into Snow Man fandom!), and I got to know the juniors now (especially Bi Shounen)! My online purchases also increased as well lol. Also, I tried studying Japanese more, and did that by translating some magazine interviews and Jweb entries, but relying mostly in translation app and Google lol! I also became addicted to playing quiz games and answering fandom questionnaires while at home.

And I did Wash Your Hands cover lol

Last December, we, admins of Nyusu. Ph, were able to organize a cupsleeve event for NEWS with the help of J Cup Ph and Amazon Cafe. Also, I was able to watch this award-winning PH movie, Fan Girl via online!

So, that's it!
Wishing you a Happy New Year!🎉

I am just posting an entry of some good NEWS last week until this week!

NEWS' HEALTH UPDATES!

Massu mentioned in his 12/07 entry in his Jweb, Masuda Takahisa no ◯◯, that he had tested several times and fortunately, the results were negative. He also mentioned that Koyama and Shige are getting better, and he advised everyone to be strict with oneself and be kind to others.

On 12/11, Shige updated his Jweb, Shigeaki no Cloud about his condition, wherein he was advised by the health center that he can return to normal life since he didn't already have the symptoms. When he was sick (he had high fever of 39 degrees), he didn't have any sense of smell. He thought that his immunity has weakened due to restriction in his diet for the online concert (I love the fluffy you, Shige-chan! No need to diet! 😘) He advised everyone to be aware of the minor changes in physical condition.

Koyama updated his Jweb KEIICHIRO on 12/12, wherein he said that he took a PCR test a day before and result came out negative though he still had the symptoms. He felt a little happy while taking a walk under the sunlight in the morning. He is thankful to the medical staff who regularly check his physical condition.

J&A announced through their website that Koyama and Shige had recovered from CoViD19 and would resume their activities.

It was mentioned in Kchan NEWS aired on 12/15 (actually recorded on a day before) that he received lots of kind messages from his Johnny's comrades and received calls from Taichi-senpai (senpai is really kind to NEWS!). He even watched  the performance in FNS and felt the love from other Johnny's. He was frequently contacting Shige to report their physical conditions. Also, it was mentioned here that Massu actually sent Koyama and Shige chicken hot pot and mixed rice good for 3 days. (Massu is so kind! Awww member ai. 😌💕)

Shige updated NEWS RING last 12/16, and he's very thankful that he received many messages from friends and acquaintances upon hearing his return to work, and received lots of emails from fans. His parents went to a shrine to pray for his healing as well. Upon recovery, he visited a shrine that is one of the largest in Tokyo.

Shige: Let's make everyone happy! And I'll be happy too!

OKAERINASAI, KOYASHIGE!😭💜💚

MOVING FORWARD WITH NEWS~

I have participated in this Twitter project as a support for NEWS on the days that were supposed to be the schedule of STORY online concert (12/12- 12/13), by tweeting photos of the penlights using hashtags
#枯れないクローバー
#心は元気に #NEWSと歩むSTORY
#大丈夫と歌っている, hoping this will reach them, but tweets weren't enough to reach them. Anyway, their names became trending when they updated about their recovery though. 🤩

ONLINE CUPSLEEVE EVENT!

I just registered for a Stay at Home cupsleeve event for SixTONES' and Snow Man's 1st debut anniversary to be held on January 22! This will be my first time to participate in an online CSE, and the good thing is that, this is available nationwide since I am currently residing in Batangas. I'm already excited  about this lol!

Speaking of cupsleeve event, I am not sure if anyone can read this but, thank you for all those who have registered for the event that we, co-admins of Nyusu.Ph, have organized! I hope you'll get excited when you already have your kits on December 26!

NEWS PREMIUM LIVE!

Before the official announcement from J&A regarding KoyaShige's return to work was released, official YouTube channel of JStorm released a special digest of "NEWS PREMIUM LIVE", a special show that can be streamed from December 28 (11:00 JST) to January 31 (23:59 JST) when the viewing IDs from LE A, LE B and RE first press of Beautiful /Chincha Umakka/Kanariya were able to be registered on or before December 27 (23:59 JST)

NICE DASH!

I've just finished a Jdrama for two days only, since it consists of ten episodes, and each episode is only about 25 minutes long!
I finally finished watching "Koi no Yamai to Yarougumi" (aka Class Crush, aired on GEM TV before) starring eight Johnny's Jr. (Sato Ryuga and Iwasaki Taisho of Bi Shounen, Takahashi Yuto, Sakuma Ryuto and Igari Soya of HiHi Jets, Oriyama Nao of Shounen Ninja, Nakamura Reia of 7 Men Samurai and Masakado Yoshinori of Ae! group) played as students of an "all-boys" class with Johnny's WEST's Hamada Takahiro who took the role as their adviser. The whole drama focuses on how they can overcome their fear of talking to girls.

The drama is just too hilarious! These young boys are really weird (but I love them anyway. 🤭)

ENJOYING NEWS CONTENTS FOR ANOTHER YEAR!

I was able to renew my JFC membership for NEWS c/o my fangirl friend! Yaaaaay!!!

I AM SO PROUD OF MY SENSEI AGAIN!

There are lots of articles about Shige being nominated in the prestigious award for literary writers! After 8 years of being a writer, Shige, who just has released his recent novel Alternate, was chosen as one of nominees of The 164th Naoki Prize, an award given to new, rising, young writer recognizing the best work of popular literature in any format. The winner will be announced on January 20.

I am hoping that he can win it, but being nominated is already a huge achievement, a great milestone for him in his writing career!

I am so proud of you, Sensei! You deserve this! 💚

MY SON HAS REALLY GROWN UP! 💕

Just this morning, Bunshun (that bullsh*t media lol) released an article regarding Ryuga dating Tsurushima Noa. Honestly, I felt happy rather than disappointed because this proves that Ryuga has already grown up (and being rumored proves that a celebrity is popular lol just kidding)! There is just a con here though, that people may perceive this as wrong since Ryuga is just an 18 year-old high school and an idol. But in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with idols dating, falling in love, because they’re humans with feelings after all. Let them enjoy their youth! I just hate how Bunshun reporters tried to invade the idols' privacy, really. (Being a NEWS fan, Bunshun is an enemy, you know what I mean lol 😤) And knowing Bunshun, they tend to exaggerated or understate their reports! Therefore, we still have to take this report with a grain of salt.

That's all for now. 😆
riemaynine: (Default)

Hello everyone! How was your new year? (Although we are already on half of January 2017! lol).

I actually missed posting here on LiveJournal, but I cannot actually manage to post here every now and then because I am busy doing other thing (that's work, lol).

So, how's my life? Well, I am doing fine. And 2016 became good to me, thanks God. But I am hoping my 2017 will be much better year for me. *prays*

2016 became my comeback year from being in hiatus last 2015. Aside from my old groups I am stanning, I also became hooked with Hey! Say! JUMP, which started last May 2016. 2016 was also the year when I started collecting idol-related things.

Here are my goods! (I have already posted my first NEWS goodies here, few months ago.)

For 2017, I hope I can have any Kanjani8 goodies! For 2017, I promised myself to save more (for both personal and fangirling needs), and to keep healthy (that's why I am now avoiding fast foods, soft drinks, junk foods and sweets).
I still continue to fangirl -in fact, I have another idol group (also from Johnny's) to get hooked to - I am now starting to like Kis-My-Ft2! Tamamori Yuta is my ichiban in the group, but sometimes, I admire Fujigaya Taisuke! ❤

So this year, I might get more broke because of fandoms *knocks on wood*
But I'll really try to manage my fangirling!

Well, that's all for now.

Akemashite Omedetou, minna!

riemaynine: (Default)

Yes! Hello minna! I am happy to announce that I am now active in my fandoms, more active than last 2015. I had semi-hiatus status last year due to several work-related reasons, that I was really outdated to some fandom stuffs. But now, I am here, fangirling once again, and I admit, I have slight changes in my fandom.

As I have mentioned last time, NEWS now became my ichiban fandom, although I am still sticking with Arashi and Kanjani8. But lately, after I think this over, my heart sparks again, towards my first two fandoms! Yes, I am becoming updated with them again.

This time, I have added another fandom, also from the same agency as my first three fandoms. If you would notice the title of this entry, I bet you have that one group that enters in your minds. And you're right!

I AM STARTING TO LOVE HEY! SAY! JUMP.

I was actually already aware of this kouhai group of my first idol groups. That was when I started became an Arashi fan, and when Gokusen 3, wherein Takaki Yuya starred, was aired. Due to being a curious Jpop lover in general during that time, I have heard and saw PVs of their first singles (Ultra Music Power, Dreams Come True, Your Seed, Mayonaka no Shadow Boy, as well as Bouken Rider), as well as the pre-debut Hey! Say! 7's Hey! Say!, BON BON and I wo Kure. But during that time, I only knew Takaki, until I recognized someone from the PVs that has this tiny but high singing voice - it's Chinen Yuri. But I did not get hooked with them right away, since I preferred matured idols. I thought that they're too young, although we're of the same age range - I am also Heisei-born.

The third member who I knew was Yamada Ryosuke, but I forgot exactly when I first saw him - thru Arashi or thru Nishikido Ryo, since I have watched Arashi's TIME concert wherein newly-debuted JUMP performed during the con's MC part, as well as Niini Koto o Wasurenaide wherein Ryo starred with Ryosuke as his otouto. Or I think it was because he is the member who shares the same birthday as me! LOL...

Then I knew Okamoto Keito thru Ate Nei [livejournal.com profile] neitaro, since I started became a Kanjani8 fan. Since I was frequently visiting her LJ account during the time I was trying to know Eito, I knew that she is also a JUMP fan as well, with Keito as her bias. I just only lately realized that Keito is fluent in English.

But after that, I knew nobody in JUMP other than the four of them.

First quarter of this year, as I returned from being in semi-hiatus, I noticed that almost all of the posts appearing in my FB newsfeed were JUMP-related, mostly by a fan I adore because of her witty captions on her shared posts. Then the local showbiz online article about a young Filipino actress Thea Tolentino having a crush on Yamada Ryosuke made me feel curious about JUMP. I actually already knew that Thea is a JUMP fan before this article started circulating online, but that article's popularity among fangirls nowadays also contributed with my desire of knowing JUMP more. Since I realized that the members are already becoming handsome and mature, then why not try to know them, ne? I started recognizing other members of JUMP starting with Yabu Kota when he guested in Chikarauta, the show that my NEWS bias nowadays (gomen, Shige-sensei!) Koyama Keiichiro is hosting.

Then during the time I was about to meet up with the seller whom I had pre-ordered NEWS Quartetto goods, I never realized that, that seller is a known JUMP fangirl.
I still remembered how shy I was when I was approaching her, as in, I just went beside her, but I did not asked her immediately if she is the seller. Maybe I was just trying to get some confidence and guts to speak. Too EPIC! ROFLOL!

Anyway, I never realized that she is one of Thea's fandom friends, and a subber. During that time, it was just recently announced that Yamada would be playing the role of Edward Elric in live action adaptation of Full Metal Alchemist to be released in 2017, and in line with that, she said that they will be doing something 'big', which, I am hoping that this will be pushed through. As what I have thought, if Thais can bring Arioka Daiki in their country for their Jseries event, then why not Filipinos can bring Yamada here for the movie promotion?

During our conversation, I have said that I think I am starting to like JUMP, hence, she asked me who is my ichiban. I blurted "Yaotome Hikaru", but I just lately remembered I have posted an Instagram photo after rewatching their performance during Arashi concert, with caption stating that "If I would choose who can be my JUMP ichiban, it would be Yabu Kota, Inoo Kei or Arioka Daiki." A fellow Arashi fan whom I know personally just commented "Hikaru". Look how stupid I am that I considered Hikaru as my ichiban just with that comment! EPIC! xD Gomen nasai, fellow JUMP fan for telling you the wrong ichiban. Although, Hikaru has the most attractive eyes for me, and has this good sense of humor that I like, especially when he dressed up as a priest and as an emotional mom, xDD (But emotional Hika Mama looked good together with mustached Yuto Papa... LOL)

I really find Yabu Kota very handsome, Inoo Kei as very pretty, and Arioka Daiki as... well... having a funny face! xD

But, I ended up falling for that PENGUIN! hahaha xD
He has that pure aura, and I think he is really cute, but most of the time, he looks funny, LoL!

I tried listening to their songs, and oh my, most of their songs, especially the ballad songs, have the feels! Yeah, this year, I am doing my best to know them more, as I really wanted to be one of the TOBIKKOs.

Adding another fandom may mean more goods to be purchased (hence, more flying money... T^T) but it's my happiness!

So, as of 2016, I am an ARASHIST, EIGHTER, PAANA and TOBIKKO! :)

Hello again! I'm back after several months since my last post here. And I am back to post an entry here about my update of being a fangirl. Yay!

As you all know that I am a multifandom fangirl loving three JE groups namely Arashi, Kanjani8 and NEWS, but I have something to tell you honestly about my status as a fangirl now.

For those who are following me on Instagram (@riemaynine), you may notice that I am usually posting more about this group than any other groups. I am also usually sharing and liking posts on this JE group's fandom group wall on FB.

I have created a handmade Valentines card which was actually an initiative or contest in our office. Said card was actually my fanletter to this group as its design is inspired by their band color plus the words inside are especially for them!

I have also confessed how I appreciate this group lately more than before. I became updated to them, actually more updated than my other groups I am stanning. Before, I am only a casual fan, but now this group is my ichiban group now.

I have bought my first ever idol goods lately, and these are all NEWS goods (pre-loved)! Yes... I'm in love with the four gorgeous guys now! Yay! Now I am waiting for Quartetto goods I've pre-ordered (UPDATE: Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it. If you're curious about why, here's the serious reason, for your awareness.) Haist, can't wait! ^-^

For those who would like to know the confession I wrote (in Tagalog), you may read it here under the cut. NEWS fangirls who have read this, yes, confession is actually mine! :)

Confession of a Fangirl )

EDITED (01/15/2021): I am not going to translate these fully in English, but instead, I am just going to provide the gist of what I’ve confessed.

I started knowing that NEWS exists through Taiyou no Namida performance in Music Station way back 2008. That music program was once aired in Animax Asia with English subtitles, and being a fan of Jpop music in general, I took down notes of the songs performed during that particular episode, and one of them is Taiyou no Namida by NEWS, but I was totally clueless about the members. When dubbed One Liter of Tears was aired in GMA7, a PH television network, I searched about the actors in said drama and realized that Nishikido Ryo was a NEWS member. Then I searched about Yamashita Tomohisa after watching him in Proposal Daisakusen (English title is Operation Love) through the drama CD I bought from the market selling those "forbidden-slash-pirated" DVDs, and realized that he was also a NEWS member. Then in 2012, I randomly searched about look alike celebrities, and found an image of a male idol wearing eyeglasses, who happened to look like PH actress Angel Locsin. That idol, who happened to be Kato Shigeaki, was a way for me to learn more about NEWS (the PV of Shige's solo, Shalala Tambourine was the next thing I watched lol), and eventually, Shige became my bias from NEWS until now. I only casually following NEWS after learning about them, but I got hooked at them after listening to their first studio album as quartet, the self-titled album NEWS.

I actually wrote that confession in 2016, when I said that I lately appreciate the NEWS as quartet, and thought that NEWS is perfect as four-member group. I also said that if I had a chance to introduce a certain Jpop group to my non-Jpop fan acquaintances, I would introduce NEWS to them since the members are ikemen, talented, voices blend beautifully when they sing and smart. If I had the chance to join the Johnny’s Fan Club but choosing only one group, that would be NEWS (and it already came true since I joined the FC for NEWS last year!)

I also hoped before that NEWS would not lose member again and believed that they will not... but I WAS WRONG. 😭

Anyway... Fandom goods I bought! Thank you very much my dear sellers! ArigaCHUMU! :*

NEWSKOOL! NEWSKOOL! They're indeed FANTASTIC FOUR! *doki doki*

*rurouni- wanderer

Just had another experience, I may say, as a wanderer, or explorer, or whatever you want me to call.
Just like to share that during my free time, especially my day off at work, when I'm not feeling that I want to go to my hometown, I wander. Not really wandering too much, it's just that I'm going to places ALL BY MYSELF. I even jokingly post "DATING WITH MYSELF" as an FB status everytime I'm out going somewhere. I'm going to these places, as long as I know how to go back home, LoL... Thus, it's up to you if you may consider me as a wanderer, or just merely a casual traveler.

Anyway, it's just happy to experience this for the first time: Going out to watch movie without companion. Yeah, I usually go to cinemas with friends or family, but earlier, I just went ALL BY MYSELF.And another thing is that this was also my first time to watch a Jmovie in local cinema. Yeah, I watched Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Taika-hen (Kyoto Inferno) a while ago! Since I have my vacation leave, I grabbed this time to watch RuroKen!

Actually, my best friend already watched this with her kareshi, and she said that the movie's nice, yet somewhat uncompleted. And I realized that too upon watching... But that explains why there will be 3rd part of Rurouni Kenshin to be shown in cinemas next month! I will definitely catch that!

Maybe I'll just watch the 3rd part at the cinema near my hometown (in SM City Lipa), since movie ticket there costs cheaper than in Megamall.
And...

I'm also excited with Lupin the 3rd movie starring Oguri Shun! I'll also catch that! (I saw that Jerry Yan is in the movie thru the trailer shown a while ago before RuroKen's showing! KYAAAH!)

Too bad that I didn't watch Black Butler, the one that I was planning to watch too, but good thing there are links. And even though I haven't watch the first RuroKen movie last 2012, at least prior watching Kyoto Inferno, I already DLed and watched the 2012 movie.

2012 movie's nice, but Kyoto Inferno is great! I like it!
Now I'm excited with the third movie...

Looking forward to see the continuation of Kenshin's fight with Shishio!
(FYI: Shishio, Kenshin's nemesis, is played by Ohno Satoshi-look alike, Fujiwara Tatsuya! HAHAHA... That's why I secretly flailed while watching!)
(And, I saw Nishihara Aki, who once played Makino Tsukushi's best friend, Yuki, in Hana Yori Dango. She played as the wife of son of the swordsmith who gave Kenshin his 'sakabato'...
sumimasen for the spoiler! xD)

Too bad that I didn't take photo of the movie poster outside the cinema, so, I'll just post one I saw thru the net.

Rurouni_Kenshin,_Kyoto_Inferno_film_poster
But I do have an 'evidence' that I watched!
2014827171710-m

And...
Going back to shigoto tomorrow after a 2-day vacation... haaay...
But I actually miss my colleagues already! HAHAHA! :D

IDEAL!

As expected from a Jpop 'casual' blogger, I'm writing this entry just for the sake of fangirling!

If you're wondering about my lovelife, well, I still don't have, yet I really admire LOTS - Japanese actors!
Although I'm an obvious idol otaku, Johnny's idols in particular, I also admire non-JE actors.
Swear, I do have lots of Japanese crushes, but what I am going to share here are my top 3 non-JE crushes.

NO. 3
Mukai Osamu
向井理 (Mukai Osamu)
notable roles: Koizumi George, Paradise Kiss; Senoo Masashi, Bambino!

I just saw him through the Live Action movie, Paradise Kiss, and he's such a very handsome, gorgeous fashion designer! His smile would really make every girl faint... no, maybe the girl wannabees too?! (Just remembered when Haruna Ai, a Japanese celebrity transgender, hugged him in an episode of VS Arashi!)

I would just like to watch more Jdramas and Jmovies starring him. (BTW, I'm currently watching Bambino! He, as well as MatsuJun,  is really an ikemen!) :)

NO.2

ogushun
小栗 旬 (Oguri Shun)
notable roles: Uchiyama Haruhiko, Gokusen; Hanazawa Rui, Hana Yori Dango; Izumi Sano, Hana Kimi

I admit, I didn't notice him at first when Gokusen was aired on Philippine television, until I saw him in Hana Yori Dango as Hanazawa Rui. For me, Ogushun as Rui is the most appealing, I mean, he's really handsome with that character! Good thing that he and my Arashi ichiban Matsumoto Jun are good friends. But even though he's married already, I still admire him.

Looking forward to his Lupin the 3rd movie!

NO.1
okadamylove
岡田将生 (Okada Masaki)
notable roles: Kakinouchi Takuma, I Give My First Love to You; Sekime Kyogo, Hana Kimi

I also didn't noticed him at first as Sekime in Hana Kimi (because I was just too focused with Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma). It's through I Give My First Love to You that I completely noticed him, and the feeling grew stronger when I saw him as one of the guests in an episode of VS Arashi. His innocent eyes, and his jaw line made him my 'eye candy'. (And I think I knew someone who looks like him! ^o^)

OH, Okada-kun! <333

My IDEAL... )
riemaynine: (Default)
Recently, I have been outdated with what is happening in Jpop world - I just realized lately that Kanjani8 as Eightrangers just released their newest single, ER2 which promotes their upcoming movie, Eightrangers2. Just downloaded the single as well as the four versions of the PV, and I may say that I would also like to watch said movie. Only that I haven't watch the first Eightrangers movie, and that Eightrangers 2 will only be released in Japan.

Oh well, will just wait for the DL links for this, but will first download the first Eightrangers movie.
Too bad that my laptop's storage space is becoming smaller. Will save okane for buying a 1-1.5 TB external hard disk drive!
(Aiming that since then! >.<)

Another thing:

JUST ENVY WITH THOSE FELLOW FILIPINO JPOP FANS WHO SAW SATO TAKERU AND TAKEI EMI! (Sorry for the all caps!)
They, as well as the producers of Rurouni Kenshin, went here in the Philippines to promote 2 live action sequels of Rurouni Kenshin!
They actually had the 'red carpet premiere' (correct me if I'm wrong) at SM Megamall last Wednesday. (Not sure about the date! But too bad that I didn't witness it, since Megamall is just 2 train(MRT) stations away from my office! Anyway, I still have work during that time, hehehe...) You know, even if I'm not really a die-hard fan of these two, I would definitely be thankful if I can see them in person! KYAAAAH!

I still haven't seen the first Rurouni Kenshin movie, though, thus I'm currently DLing it, hehe... :)
Sato Takeru looks a bit like KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya with bit of SMAP's Kimura Takuya... And Takei Emi looks like Philippine teen actress Kathryn Bernardo. SOOO KAWAII!!!

Let's go to my other concern:
BLACK BUTLER live-action movie, which was premiered at SM Megamall last July 23... Just wondering if it's still showing...
I'm planning to watch it during my vacation leave at Wednesday (August 13), ALL BY MYSELF!
Yep, no one will accompany me... HAHA... That's just fine! ^o^
There's a DL link too for this, though... (Since this was released in Japan last year, I think?)

Earlier, I watched NEWS' SEVEN COLORS PV! 4-nin NEWS' soooo gorgeous! (Especially my Baby Shige! <333)
Just hoping that the PV will also be released soon!

Japanese celebrities start to visit, Japanese movies start to be promoted... I'm hoping that Jpop culture will be known here, much like what is happening with Kpop culture nowadays.

Anyway...
Have a nice day, minna-san!

Yay!

Just edited these photos of Johnny's Entertainment units(using MS Paint! xDD... But I'll just post groups, no solo artists, gomen...)…
Photos from http://johnnys-net.jp/

Solo artists

I think there's already a new JE unit that will be debuted soon! I hope we can see Johnny's West and member profiles in johhny's net soon! ^_^
EDITED 2/1/2015: Just adding the photo of newest JE unit!

riemaynine: (Default)
And this is the last set of forum questions that I answered...
This time, it's about the other 4 dorks...mehehehe... xDD

Ohno Satoshi

Ohno's singing voice
I really love his voice, plus he's the best dancer in Arashi...
He deserves to be called as Arashi's RIDAA...
I love him singing ballad & RnB songs,,,really suits him well...

The "Ohno look alike" (Tatsuya Fujiwara) ">
hmmm.nt bad...they do have resemblances,but...

OHNO-kun is way better than Tetsu...

(bwahaha... I said Tetsu, not Tatsu... xDD)

Ohno's acting--drama or comedy?
He's definitely a versatile actor, he can do anything...
But I like him in comedic roles, because I think he has quirky facial expressions, which I find it very kawaii...

[Mini-drama]"0 Goushitsu no Kyaku"
I already watched this mini drama, and oh, my! I love Ohno-kun here!
He spoke in ENGRISH and I saw MatsuJun's picture, plus the Kyabakura hostess' ringtone is Crazy Moon...

Oh-chan's so KAWAII!!!

Sakurai Sho

Which Sho Do You Like Best?
I realized that Sho is really a failing genius, especially in VSA. And I love his reactions whenever he did some failures...haha...so funny!

Sho's Drawing Skills
ohh~
sho's panda is mecha kawaii~

but i really love his alpaca drawing in one of the CMs of android au...

i love and i laughed...haha...XD

First impression of Sho...
first impression of him?

at first, I thought that he is the rebellious and bad boy in Arashi...haha...
it's because of his image: a rapper, one with earrings...

but I realized one thing:never judge a book by its cover.

After knowing that he attained the highest education among Arashi, graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Economics at one of the most prestigious university,Keio University, I left my first impression, and considered him as my "niban"...

I love Sakurai Sho so much<3

What animal Sho would be?
If Sho is an animal, he would be a chipmunk, a cute chipmunk...
It's because of his front teeth and cheeks...
But if he's a chipmunk, I will adopt him and make him my pet...^0^

The "Sho Look-alike" (3b Lab.'s Kenji)?
I don't think that they have resemblance...
they only have the same hairstyles...

Aiba and Sho : differentiating them??
When I was still new in Arashi fandom, I was really confused with Sakurai Sho and Aiba Masaki, especially in one of their CMs wherein they wore Samurai-like costumes...

But as I became familiar with Arashi, I can recognize them one by one...

Sho-kun is a serious type of person, while Aiba-kun is a bubbly person...

And I can recognize Sho-kun with his eyebrows...yes, I love his eyebrows!

Aiba Masaki

Aiba Speaking English
I totally love Aiba-kun's "Engrish"

Especially the time when he was younger...together with Ridaa, they were interviewed, I mean, they had English lesson...

I laughed at Masaki's "Happy?...Yeah, I'm Happy"...He thought that "hobby" is "happy"...

Aiba-chan... would you date him? Yes?No?
yes...of course!
I love guys with healthy sense of humor...
just like him...
I love AiBAKA...^-^

This guy remainds me alot Aiba
(Daishi)
OOHH~
He does look like Aiba-kun, especially the eyes...
But Aiba-kun is cuter than him...
love love love AIBA!!!

Ninomiya Kazunari

So, the blond hair... (What do you think of Nino being blond?)
Honestly, I prefer black for him rather than blond. But even though I somewhat don't like his hair color, he's still cute!

Nino's pretty eyes
I really love his eyes, those puppy eyes really 'melt my heart'.

Nino's look alike? Tell me What do you think?( Does Ninomiya look alike George Hu?)
actually, I posted on my LJ about Nino, having resemblance with George Hu, as my first impression...I even associated him with a Filipino model/actor...well, maybe I was wrong...

Nino-kun is the cutest among them, and I may say, he has boyish looks, rather than manly looks...

I think Naka Riisa has the most similar facial features like Nino...

[DRAMA] Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara (with Inoue Mao)
I want to watch this SP!
I think Kazu-kun and Mao-chan look cute together...
They're both baby-faced!
Although I prefer Jun with Mao...^0^

Gonna have a good night sleep... Oyasuminasai! ^o^
riemaynine: (Default)
Good day, minna-san!
So, I'm here again, reposting another set of forum questions that I answered back in 2012.
This time, it's all about my ichiban, Matsumoto Jun! <333
I need a daily dose of him every morning, so I'm starting it today...haha...just kidding!

Anyway, here it goes!

What would you do if Matsujun will confess that he is gay???
"WHAT!He is GAY?!"
that would be my initial reaction if I found out that MatsuJun is gay...
But, even if he is gay, I would still love him...

Besides, I think he would be the prettiest gay that I have ever seen.
He would even be prettier than an actress (that looks like him) that I really love...

But I think that will never happen.I think Jun is not gay...

(But he acted so good in Lucky 7 SP! xD)

What Other Johnny would you pair Matsujun With in a Drama?
I would want Jun to act with Kato Shigeaki, I love both of them! I just want to see how they act together (maybe like brothers?!)...I also want Jun and Toma...

(This already came true! Jun acted with Shige in Shitsuren Chocolatier. Okay, they don't act as brothers, but at least I saw them acted together in a dorama! <333)

What would you do if Matsujun bullied you?
I would cry,at first...but I would definitely punch him, just like how Makino punched Domyouji in HYD,haha...
But even if he bullied me, I will still love him...

Kawaii baby,young Jun's pics
oh my MatsuJun!
I really love your smile!
MatsuJun's so kawaii in his younger days...
How I wish I would have a cute brother like you!
<3

"Jun-bait" - Were you one of the victims?
I'm also a Jun-baited fangirl...

since the first time that I saw him(via Gokusen), I fell in love with him...I loved him more on Hana Yori Dango as Domyouji Tsukasa...

I love him,especially when he smiles...<3

What colour suit Jun best??
although he looks good in every color, I think, black and white suits him...
Classy outfits really fits him...Besides, those are his favorite colors, right?!
Those colors really matches with his black hair, black eyes and white skin...

Jun's Korean Look-Alike?
(Jang Geun Suk)
actually, they don't look alike at all...
MatsuJun is MatsuJun, he's unique...
(although he look somewhat like MizuHiro, and Filipino actress Ryza Cenon)

The "Jun look alike" (Mizushima Hiro)
their hairstyles made them resemble one another, but their eyes are different..They look alike on certain angles...

MatsuJun New Hair Cut!!!
I love his latest hairstyle, although he looked a bit girlish in that hairstyle. But that hairstyle made him look younger.

Jun's teeth transformation
No matter how crooked or how stroght MatsuJun's teeth were, I don't care.
Everytime he is smiling, he took my breath away...
But MatsuJun is hotter with his straight teeth, and he looks more handsome everytime he flashes his teeth...

I think he went to the dentist to have his teeth fixed...Well, it's just normal for the idols to have make overs, right?

Above all, I love his SMILE...

First impression of Jun...
The first time I saw Jun in Gokusen, I thought that he's a girl...but he's kawaii...
I also thought that he is really arrogant in real life, just like the time when he portrayed Domyouji Tsukasa in Hana Yori Dango...
But until now, I am still in love with him

So...if jun wasn't in arashi....what would he be?
He would probably be a cook,a model or an actor if he's not in Arashi.

Your favorite jun hairstyle...?
my fave Matsujun's hairstyle is his mohawk hairstyle in Lotus PV...he's really hot in that hairstyle...

(I also love his Popcorn hairstyle, and in Bittersweet PV...^o^)

Favorite Jun's Drama?
Actually, I can't decide which MatsuJun drama I like most...I absolutely love him...

But thanks to Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango, I met him...

I love him in Gokusen, though he looks like a girl (he was even compared with a Filipino actress during the time Gokusen was aired in the Philippines)

I loved him more on HYD, the arrogant, yet the sweetest guy I ever see...

Reasons to love Jun
Reasons why I love Jun...

-his smile
-his fashion sense
-his innocence
-his hairstyle
-his expressions
-his energy
-his acting

Matsujun looks like Gackt?
Eh?
Actually, Gackt doesn't look like MatsuJun...
Although some said that they're both androgynous, MatsuJun has this strong facial features, unlike Gackt who have his feminine looks...
And I love MatsuJun's natural looks,anyway...

MATSUJUN look a like! (Ryza Cenon)
I totally agree with you! 110%
I started loving her since I realized that she looks like my ichiban.
I actually searched for more pictures of them having the same facial features.

[Movie] Hana Yori Dango Final
I watched the movie again yesterday, and I felt the same emotions I felt when I watched it for the first time. I really love Jun and Mao together and I love the fact that their adventure is a challenge to see how they love one another...Great movie, I think...

[DRAMA] Hana Yori Dango
I remember when Hana Yori Dango was aired in the Philippines around 2007 or 2008, and I was really hooked with the story...

I was hooked not because it was the Japanese adaptation of Meteor Garden(actually, I'm not a fan a Meteor Garden series),but because of Matsumoto Jun, who also starred as Sawada Shin in Gokusen, which was aired in the Philippines in 2006.

I also got hooked because of Hanazawa Rui, portrayed by Oguri Shun...
I also love cute Inoue Mao as Makino Tsukushi...

I love the OST, especially Planetarium by Otsuka Ai,and of course WISH by the fabulous Arashi!

[DRAMA] Smile
I'm currently watching SMILE, and I love the fact that MatsuJun, my ichiban, played a role of a half-Filipino...I myself is also a Filipino...
I already watched the first three episodes, and all I can say is...T^T...
I may say that it has very touching story, and was sad to realize that there is discrimination happening to Filipino-Japanese in Japan...

(I just noticed how many times I mentioned that MatsuJun looks like Ryza Cenon! haha...Actually, I even have some posts related with this!
Sorry, I'm just a crazy, flailing fangirl! xD)

Well...

Off to Shigoto! ^_^
riemaynine: (Default)
Another reposting of answers to forum questions, this time, it's all about their songs and shows...

which single of arashi in 2010 is your fav?
When I first heard Dear Snow, I thought that it is a Christmas song...but it's more of a love song, I think...

I just love its message and the melody...

Can you distinguish the vocals all the time?
The first time I became a fan, I admit that i hardly recognize Nino's and Ohno's voices, but later, I realized that they all have distinctive voices...And Jun's voice is the most recognizable for me...

Who would you like to see as guest on Arashi ni Shiyagare?
I wanna see Kitagawa-san (Johnny) on the show!
And...I also want Yamashita Tomohisa to be Arashi's "aniki" in Arashi ni Shiyagare. I really enjoyed Toma as guest, as well as Kanjani8 as guests, so I think I will also enjoy the show if Yamapi/Tomo appear in AniShi.^_^

Favorite Guests/Interactions from their Shows
So far, my most favorite interaction with Arashi is their interaction with Kanjani8. Two episodes of AniShi and an episode of HnA are crack-fantastic episodes! Those were the reasons why I also got hooked on Kanjani8. If before, there is always one Eito member that is guesting in some episodes of VS Arashi, I just hope that there will be a special VS Arashi episode wherein the seven members of Eito will be playing games with Arashi.

Which Arashi Variety Show has been your favourite??
Actually, there are many Arashi variety shows that I like, but the top three shows for me are:

VS Arashi: I love the games!
Arashi no Shukudai-kun: I love the food!
Mago Mago Arashi: I love Arashi being mago for the day( and also the Chinese lessons, because of that, I learned a lot!)

(and I also love Arashi ni Shiyagare!)

Which Arashi song has the best SakuRAP?
for me, the best is the Sakurap part in Yes?No?...
also in We Can Make It!...

<3

[Song Discussion] Tokei Jikake no Umbrella
I love this song...I just hope it will be perform by them in music shows like Music Station...and also in their future concerts...

I hope they made a pv for this song..
For me...
I just wish that their BW song, "Morning Light" has its own PV...
I love that song...it makes me feel...

DANCING...XD

Ballads
I really want them to sing more ballads, and I'm hoping that they will have an album where they only sing pure ballad(which means, no SakuRap...awww...)
I love all of their ballads, but my favorites are Koe, Dear Snow, Tochuu Gesha, Blue, Gift,Niji, Take Me Faraway and Your Eyes...
(I'm still hoping for a studio album with 100% ballad songs... )

What is your Arashi inspiration song?
Whenever I feel down, I just play Hatenai Sora and Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi...both of the songs have very inspirational messages, and the melody is very relaxing

[Song Discussion] A.RA.SHI
~You are my soul,SOUL! Itsumo sugu soba ni aru
Yuzurenaiyo daremojama dekinai
Karadajuu ni kaze wo atsumete makiokose
A.RA.SHI A.RA.SHI for dream!~

My ever favorite song that signifies Arashi!
Actually it's also my 6-year old imouto's favorite song, she even imitates Arashi's dance steps.

Favorite song in Meikyuu love song single
First on my list would be Meikyuu Love Song,I love its PV...
Second would be together, forever,I love its melody...

Arashi's song which is best for making FanVid
I really love 5x10 to be used as the background song for fanvids(especially if the videos show Arashi's journey to fame). The song is touching and I imagine myself crying if I watch such video...

Arashi songs that remind you of other songs
When I first heard of "We Can Make It!", I thought that,"It seems familiar for me, I think I heard it somewhere before", only to realize that it's actually a cover for Agnes Carlsson's Love Is All Around...maybe I heard "Love is All Around" before.Another is "Super Fresh",I also thought that I heard it somewhere before, but....I cannot totally tell...^0^

Hi minna-san!
Today's Sunday(here), so I wish you a Blessed Sunday for everyone!
And today(2.23) is KATTUN's Kamenashi Kazuya's tanjoubi. お誕生日おめでとう、亀梨和也!

Anyway, moving on...
This is actually an Arashi-related post, and I'll be continuing on reposting my answers to forum questions.
This time, it's all about my preferences and rankings.

Did you ever move from one member to the other?
Originally, my ichiban is Jun because of his roles in Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango. Then during the time of 'meeting' Arashi, Nino-kun had caught my eye. And when I realized that Sho-kun has the highest educational attainment among the members, he became my inspiration...But now, I went back into Jun's arms...

Rank Your ARASHI Members!
actually...I really love the five boys, but I decided to rank them as

1: Matsumoto Jun-my original ichiban!
2: Sakurai Sho-I love his smartness
3: Ninomiya Kazunari: I love his cuteness, his forever 17 looks
4: Ohno Satoshi: I love his voice, sooo romantic
5: Aiba Masaki: I absolutely love his HUMOR...

=)
(Now Nino-kun surpassed Sho-kun, hehe...)

Which Arashi member do you want to be your..?
Bestfriend: Nino, because we both love games!
Brother: Sho, he's smart and mature
Boyfriend/husband: Jun, he's my ichiban, I love him
Pet: Ohno, I want a pet teddy bear,haha...XD
Second cousin: Aiba,so stubborn and BAKA,haha...XD

Who's Your favorite Arashi Pairing?

I love Sakumoto

(I prefer Matsumiya now... They're sweet... especially Nino-kun who is calling Jun "J"... <3)

Arashi members in one word
Ohno:Artist
Sho:Rapper
Aiba:Clown
Nino:Magician
Jun:Model

If Arashi weren't idols, what would they be?
Ohno: an artist, or fisherman!??
Sakurai: a professor or an economist
Aiba: a chef or a veterinarian,or zookeeper?!!?
Ninomiya: film director or software developer(or anything related with technology)
Matsumoto Jun: stylist or chef or a fashion model

If Arashi were animals, what would they be?
Arashi Doubutsu:

Ohno- baby bear...he's cute!
Sho- a chipmunk, because of his teeth
Aiba- a cat, he's playful and loving
Nino- a puppy, because of his innocent eyes
Jun- a lion...hmmm...maybe a white lion, very elegant yet strong and powerful...^^

Is Arashi your most favorite band/group?
I'm sure that Arashi is and will be my most favorite band of all times.
I think that Arashi is my true love, and it will take forever.
I don't have other favorite bands, and it's only in Arashi that I felt this love.
Arashi is <3...

WHo has the Best voice!?? RANK THEM!

  1. Ohno: I love his voice,RnB really suits him

  2. Nino: has very romantic voice

  3. Sho: yo! I love your SAKURAP (rapping, hehe^^)

  4. Jun: has nasal voice, I prefer his dancing rather than his singing...(don't worry, Jun,you're still my ichiban!<3)

  5. Aiba: somewhat husky...haha...it's just that I prefer the voices of other four than him...

But I love their songs and their singing!!!<3<3<3

Fave solo in Boku no Miteiru Fukei
I love Ohno's voice, and I love his song Shizukana Yoru Ni, and it's my favorite Ohno solo..
second is Jun's Come Back To Me, I like its futuristic melody
third is Nino's 1992*4##111,he used codes, which I find it very cute
fourth is Sho's T.A.B.O.O.I also like his performance in Scene concert
fifth is Aiba's Magical Song,it's not the worst song, though

Arashi Looks?
(Who Looks the best in wearings spectacles, Shades, Eyeglasses, etc...?)
I definitely love how Jun wears his glasses, whether its spectacles or shades...

He's so...

*fainting*

XD

What is/are your favorite Arashi moments?
I have lots of favorite Arashi moments, but my top five would be:

-their training camp(especially the moment wherein Sho-kun was really afraid of the heights,haha...

-the 5x10 anniversary tour, especially their 5x10 performance wherein I found Aiba-kun teary-eyed

-the Engrish lessons of Aiba-kun and Ohno-kun (What is your hobby? Aiba: Happy? Yeah, I'm happy!)

-the end talk of their first concert(Suppin' Arashi), wherein chibi Sho-kun cried while talking

and...

-the moment when Aiba visited Baluarte in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines...taking care of the tigers(and I laughed really hard on Aiba-kun and the caretaker's conversation...Aiba spoke in Nihongo, while the caretaker spoke in Tagalog...haha)

who looks the oldest?
Aiba looks like he's the oldest,
next is Sho,
then Jun,
then Ohno (but he looks like he's in 20s rather than in early 30s)
Nino is the youngest-looking for me!

Who would make the prettiest girl?
For me, Ohno-kun can be the prettiest girl among them...I actually have the first impression that he's a girl..
Second, it would be Jun (He actually looks like a Filipino actress in that picture)
Third,it would be Aiba-kun...so pretty
Fourth is Nino-kun, he looks like Naka Riisa, haha...^^
Okay, even Sho-kun has no prominent Adam's apple (like most girls), he looks more manly than being girly.

(Ohno-kun is still the prettiest for  me, then Nino-kun. Jun really has sharp facial features...)

Most control in singing
Ohno-kun, definitely...He has very beautiful voice,I'm in love with his voice,haha...

For Jun: Even though he's my ichiban, I noticed in his performance(especially during Scene Tour~Dome) that he hardly sings, I mean, I can see that he easily gets tired...well, that's my opinion, but even so, I still love him!

Who has the biggest fan base?
For me, MatsuJun has the biggest fanbase, especially here in the Philippines...
Most of my friends know MatsuJun, but they don't know Arashi or other members...

Because of the popularity of Gokusen and Hana Yori Dango, MatsuJun, having lead roles in the mentioned jdramas, became popular, especially among the fangirls. He also became popular because he resembles a Filipino actress, especially during Gokusen days in the Philippines...^^

And an additional...

Your top5 JE groups
My top 5 JE groups, for me are:

1. Arashi
2. Kanjani8
3. NEWS
4. SMAP
5. KAT-TUN/Hey!Say!JUMP(I can't decide which of them would be no.5, so I just put them both in no. 5 spot...^_^)

As what I have said in my previous post, I am going to repost my forum answers here.
I decided to classify the forum questions into "Arashi and Myself", "Rankings and Most Preferred", "All About MatsuJun", "Other Members" and "TV Shows + Song-Related" .

And I am going to post "Arashi and Myself" answers. (This is some kind of fangirl's interview questions! xD)

If Arashi didn't exist, would you still love J-music?

yes...I will still love jpop even though Arashi isn't here...I was an avid fan of Utada Hikaru and Hamasaki Ayumi before I "met" Arashi...
But I think Arashi and I are "destined" with each other..haha...
I love jpop even more because of them...
Also, my mom influenced me to love jpop, as she herself is also a fangirl...she knows many Japanese songs...so whether Arashi is existing or not, I will still love jpop...ITSUMADEMO...<3

Why you like Arashi?
I've been a fan of them since 2009(maybe for some, I'm just a new fan)although I knew them since I became a MatsuJun fan since 2006. But since then, I like Arashi so much.
I like Arashi not just because of their pretty boy looks, but because they're real persons, meaning, they're not pretenders(or figuratively, they're not "plastics"). They've known each other for a long time, and until now, they remain to be friends. Their camaraderie is shown in every performances and appearances they have. Because of their closeness, they consider themselves as brothers. They're versatile, as they know how to sing, dance, act, host...everything! Even though some thought that there are artists who are better than them, Arashi is different. They are not just your typical boy group, they're an idol group, role models.
But love is deeper than like...and I'm not just liking Arashi, I'm loving them.
Why do I love Arashi? I can't fully explain why, because if you really love someone, you don't need to explain why you love them, because true love is unconditional. I love Arashi regardless of their past rumors, scandals that they encounter. I love Arashi because they're Arashi. I love them as they are...

Has Arashi made you a happier person?
YES,DEFINITELY! I live a life full of sweetness and color because of them...
I usually laugh, and became less serious (because I'm so so so serious before meeting them!).

I love the fact that Arashi came to my life...

Do you like or not to know if the boys are dating?
Of course, I would like to know...But I think they have their right to keep their private lives for themselves.

Who stays up late at night just to watch/download Arashi vid
In downloading videos, I usually stay late at night...
But I usually watch the videos the next day...
But,uh-oh...
I'm so guilty!!!

Do you care that they are all pretty short?
I don't care if they're short...

LOOKS,TALENTS AND CHARACTER matter me most...

plus...

short is cute, right, Ohno-kun and Nino-kun? <3

we're just the same, because I'm only 5 feet tall...

for me, it's just natural, especially for Asians like them, and like me...

It's natural that Asians are shorter than any other races...

What makes Arashi Famous Internationally?
I think that Arashi is famous internationally because of their public appearances. I, myself knew them because of a drama, where a member had starred in, aired here, where in fact I'm from the Philippines. Plus, I think their friendship has touched a million hearts, and I observed it from their anniversary tour...

If You Meet Arashi..
If I accidentally meet Arashi, or one of the members, I would probably be:
-smiling and bowing continuously(until my head detach on my neck...haha...~so exaggerated~)
-asking for their autographs and take pictures with them(although I think it is hard to take pictures with them)

but in reality:
-I would just faint, or would not talk for the whole day(or whole week?!?^0^)
-Would think of that incident for days...

but secretly,I would:
-be screaming like CRAZY!(but not letting anyone know I actually did that, haha!^^)

What your parents think of arashi/ JE
Whe Gokusen was first aired here in the Philippines, and admiring that Sawada Shin guy from that jdrama, my mom said that he's Matsumoto Jun, a member of the so-called group Arashi. Obviously, she knew about him and the existence of Arashi because she worked in Japan for many years, but she only knew MatsuJun, not the other members.

My younger sister, who is 6 years old, automatically became a fan after I introduced A.RA.SHI to her. She even knew about the signature'A.RA.SHI A.RA.SHI for dream' hand gesture.

My father doesn't mind if 'm fangirling over Arashi, in fact, we even welcome Arashi in our home, as we named our puppies after the members.

How Has Arashi Changed Your Life?
Arashi makes my life colorful...They bring happiness to me...
Their songs serve as my inspiration to go forward and live my life,
Plus, Arashi makes my life sweet, not bitter...And I learned to be more light- hearted, as I usually laugh while watching their shows.

How did you get into Arashi?
I first met MatsuJun during thne time Gokusen was aired in the Philippines.
After a year, I fell in love with him as Domyouji Tsukasa in Hana Yori Dango.
I found out that the opening songs of HYD 1 and 2 were sung by the group called Arashi. I started downloading more Arashi songs and I got hooked. I was really curious about this group, so I searched about them, and on 2009, I became officially an Arashian.(Even though I'm MatsuJun-baited since 2006)...

What would happened if one of them suddenly married?
At first, I would be shocked if I realized that the member/s suddenly got married.

But as a fan, I would be happy for them, as they finally met their 'happiness'.
I'll still be their fan no matter what.

If Arashi were to split up
If Arashi would split up, it's very hard for me and for the fans...I would definitely cry...

But if ever, I think that their friendship will remain forever...

But as of this moment, I'm not yet thinking about the possibility that Arashi will be disbanded...They're on their 'peak' of their popularity...Well, for me, that split thing will happen hundred years from now...^0^

how do you organize your Arashi videos?
actually, I just put ALL of my Arashi videos in my laptop, but it seems that I need to have extra storage space, so I badly need an external HD...I will just buy soon...

anyway, I put all of my hardsubbed dramas and movies in HD2,while I put my softsubbed dramas and movies in HD1...

My music gallery is filled with Arashi songs. My pictures gallery is filled with Arashi pictures.I also put Arashi TV Shows(contains subfolders with TV show titles) and Arashi files(which contains performances(composed of concerts folder and music shows performances folder),PV,CM,RAWS and videos during their Junior Days)in HD1...

How much Arashi stuff have you downloaded?
(as of May 17, 2012)
I actually downloaded dramas and movies, some shows, songs and pictures, and I had downloaded about 44.58 GB on one hard disk of my laptop, then 90 GB on another(hardsubbed dramas and movies)...I really want to download more shows, and even though I still have more storage spaces in my laptop, I'm planning to buy an external HD where I will be putting dramas and movies there, and will download and put all shows in my laptop...

What have you forsaken after being a fan of Arashi?
Before, i'm into anime and Hello Kitty...But since I met Arashi, I abandoned anime and Hello Kitty...haha...

The only stupid thing I did was I somewhat neglected my studies and arrived late at school last semester (2012) because I slept late at night coz I wanna have some 'dosage', but I promise that I will focus more on studies and let them be my inspiration.
If Sho-kun can focus on his studies while in entertainment industry, then I can, too...

Arashi doodles in your school notebooks
I actually also do some Arashi doodles when I'm bored...I even have some sketches of the members...

I admit, during classes, especially when the teacher is boring(^0^), I write the members' names in kanji, then I'm also fond of drawing cartoon version of them. And I found out that there are more doodles than my lecture notes, haha...XD

Japanese Words We Learnt From ARASHI
When I watched some of their concerts (I watched Scene Tour Dome concert lately) I learned two Japanese words.

First one is "utae!", which means "sing!". Nino-kun usually says that...
Another is MatsuJun's "Junbi wa ii ka?"( I'm not sure if these are the exact words he said during the concert) which means "Are you Ready?"

How real Arashi members are to you?
Arashi indeed is real,in terms of their personalities. They are not pretenders...

But I believe that they represent the rainbow, colorful, beautiful, yet unreachable.

What fetishes have you developed because of Arashi?
I admit, I have neck fetish...
I find their necks attractive,
especially Nino's neck...^-^

(Note: This was answered last 2012. And about the Arashi stuff DLed, I actually have more than what was stated. Plus, I have Kanjani8 and NEWS stuffs too, and my lappie's storage space is just about 25GB left! I badly need an external HDD now! xDD)
 HAHA... ^o^
riemaynine: (Default)
I just changed the link for Aibakaland in my LJ sidebar, as there is a new forum site. Although there is still the old forum site, mods announced that this site would be deactivated soon. So I browsed in this site, and copy-pasted some forum Qs and my As.

Just wanna share what I had posted back in 2012. (Italicized are my present comments...2014~)

Studying Japanese
Since elementary,(about 12 years old), I was already studying Nihongo. I learned Katakana during that time, then Hiragana and VERY few kanji during high school. I really want to learn, that's why until now, even though we have French language class, I still manage to learn Nihongo.
(Now... I wanna start learning again!)

Manga, anime or series?
I voted for dorama...

Although before, I'm into anime and manga, but now, I prefer to watch it live.

Manga stories take too much time and effort to be read, as in, you really need to read all of its volumes, while anime is just, well, animation or drawing.

You can really feel the story if real life actors and actresses act the story based from both anime and manga.

Dubbing vs. Subbing
Subbing is better than dubbing.
I really like to hear the actors' real voices and I can learn the language.
And actually I do hate dubbed dramas and movies, I mean, dramas are ruined because of dubbing, and the real emotions changed because of dubbing.

(Until now...I prefer subbing over dubbing)

Japanese dramas and movies that made you cry your eyes out
The drama that made me cry is 1 Litre of Tears(Ichi Rittoru no Namida, starring Sawajiri Erika and Nishikido Ryo), especially the last episode!

And the movies that made me cry are Koizora(starring Aragaki Yui and Miura Haruma) and I Give My First Love To You(Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu, starring Inoue Mao and Okada Masaki).

(Wanna watch 100 Kai Naku Koto starring Ohkura Tadayoshi and Kiritani Mirei!)

Favorite Female J/K Pop Artist
Before I'm into Arashi(and also Kanjani8 and NEWS), I'm a fan of Utada Hikaru and Hamasaki Ayumi. I love their voices.
I also love Amuro Namie and Tamaki Nami(most especially Nami's Shining Star and Realize)

(Now...I'm also into YUI. I like her... ^_^... And I'm not into Kpop...)

Will be reposting my Arashi-related forum Q&As in my next entry! ^_^
